Canadians are reacting to Elon Musk’s predictions about Trudeau losing in the upcoming election.
On Nov. 7, Tesla founder Elon Musk responded to a Swedish journalist criticizing the German government on X.
Canadian Fintech founder Robert Ronning responded requesting Musk’s assistance in Canada’s upcoming federal election, set for October 2025.
“We need your help in Canada getting rid of Trudeau,” Ronning said on X.
“He will be gone in the upcoming election,” Musk posted in response.
Musk’s tweet about Trudeau has reached over one million views as of publication and Canadians online are reacting to his stance.
“As a Canadian, I can tell you that that is a guarantee,” one X user said.
“Elon, can you please buy Canada to Make them Great Again too?” another X commented.
“Prime minister Musk has a nice ring to it…” one person said.
Others are voicing their opinion on the role of social media during national elections.
“Social Media platforms shouldn’t decide/favor/impact the elections,” someone posted on X.
“Elon affected the election in America & he will do the same here if we allow it,” one Reddit user said.
This is not the first time Musk has voiced his political viewpoints. Ahead of the U.S. election, Musk has been vocal about his support for President-Elect Donald Trump.
After Trump’s win, Musk changed his X bio to “the people voted for major government reform,” along with a picture of him wearing a black hat lettered with “Make America Great Again.”

APPROVAL FOR LIBERALS HIT A RECORD LOW, POLL SAYS
Approval rates for Trudeau’s Liberal government is at the lowest it’s ever been at 29 per cent, according to research from the Angus Reid Institute (ARI) released on Oct. 28.
However, there’s been mixed feelings about Trudeau from current Liberal voters with a little over half saying the current Prime Minister should run for the next election while a third of Liberal voters say a new leader is needed.
Meanwhile, more than 20 MPs are demanding Trudeau should step down, according to ARI. The next popular leader of choice is Chrystia Freeland with 22 per cent of voters saying they would vote for the Liberals under Freeland’s leadership.
Conservative Party of Canada (CPC) leader Pierre Polliviere’s approval rate is at 36 per cent while New Democratic Party (NDP) leader Jagmeet Singh’s approval rate is at 37 per cent.
However, Polliviere’s ratings are steadily increasing and 43 per cent of Canadians would support the CPC if an election was held imminently, ARI’s findings say.
