‘I think he has a future in broadcasting,’ Young boy captures the hearts of GO Train passengers with his announcement skills

A TikTok of a young boy making an announcement on a GO Train is providing the internet with some much needed joyful content. 

The child’s parents shared a video of their son informing passengers in the carriage that the doors would not open at the next stop. 

“Attention all passengers in coach 257, coach 257 will not open at Maple, Maple is our next station,” the child says. 

The video has racked up over 60,000 views in less than 24 hours.

The young boy was helped by a friendly staff member who can be seen coaching him on what to say before giving him the go ahead.

According to the child’s mother, her son had been playing with transit simulators for months and was thrilled when he had the opportunity to make an announcement for real. 

“Shout out to @GO Transit for making my kid’s dream come true yesterday,” the child’s mother wrote in the video’s caption. 

His announcement was met with rapturous applause from passengers, and TikTok users were quick to congratulate him on doing an excellent job. 

“Ahhhh he did so well! Amazing confidence, so well spoken,” one user wrote.

“I think he has a future in broadcasting,” another person said. 

“He was so awesome! I wouldn’t have remembered all that haha – definitely a core memory,” another person said.

Others commended the GO Train staff for their kindness, saying how happy he seemed to give the young boy his moment. 

“I love every time they let a kid do the announcements on the go,” one person said.
