Panda Mart has officially arrived in Toronto and it’s already taking over social media and wallets.
The international retail store opened its first Canadian location in Scarborough over the weekend, selling everything from household items like furniture, home decor, to electronics, suitcases, shoes, and even sporting goods.
The massive retail store sells over 30,000 products and operates over 40 stores across the world, and now Canadians and Torontonians can finally enjoy everything that it has to offer.
Social media apps have been flooded with viral videos of customers shopping at the store during its grand opening, showing off discounted and insanely affordable prices.
Social users have even called the store “the real life Temu,” due to heavily discounted products.
One viral video posted by a TikTok user shows a marble dining table with a set of four chairs priced at less than $200.
“Amazing deals, thanks for sharing,” a TikTok user commented.
“Definitely good for first-time buyers,” another user said.
Another TikTok user designed the store as a “Temu, Dollars store, Shein, Dollar Tree, Party City on crack,”
“Things are as low as 40 cents… Thank God I don’t live close by or else all of my money would be spent there,” the TikTok user said.

But many pointed out that the excitement and deals lead to long line-ups, some videos even show lines to get into the store wrapping around the building, and the waiting only continued once customers got inside.
“The store was absolutely overwhelmed today,” a TikTok user said. “The line to pay took 2 hours and 45 minutes to get through.”
The user warned people to reconsider when they attempt to visit the store.
“If you want to go, maybe wait a little for the viral moment to calm down and don’t make my mistake,” the user said.
Due to the crowds, recent videos have already shown empty aisles and shelves, leaving many wondering when the store will restock.
“Everything’s gone, suitcases are gone!” a TikTok user said.
One user says they aren’t surprised the store is already running out of items, given how expensive other stores in the city have become.
“Everyone is somewhat on a budget right now and because Panda Mart is so cheap that the store everyone can afford,” the user said.
The new store is located at 768 Warden Ave. Panda Mart has not announced if it plans to open more Canadian locations.
