Her Sports Festival
A weekend dedicated to celebrating women and girls in sports, the inaugural Her Sports Festival starts Friday and will give participants of all ages a dynamic, and action-packed weekend, full of activities designed to get girls active.
Taking place at The Hangar Sport and Events Centre in Downsview Park, participants can expect new sports to try, including biathlon, flag football, soccer, golf, skateboarding, athletics, sailing and many more.
Anyone interested can buy a ticket through the Her Sports website to participate, starting at $20, or free for girls under seven-years-old.
Inside Out 2SLGBTQ+ Film Festival
Come down to the TIFF Lightbox in the downtown core to experience a vibrant program celebrating queer storytelling from around the world.
Attendees will have multiple screenings to choose from, taking a closer look at 2SLGBTQ+ issues and learning more through interesting films. Alternatively, comedic feature films will also be available, including “Stop! That! Train!,” a film seeing its Canadian premiere by “Hairspray” writer Adam Shankman, which will also feature Drag Race host RuPaul.
Dozens of films are available to choose from on the Inside Out website.
Toronto Marlies vs Cleveland Monsters
Toronto’s American Hockey League team will be facing off against the Cleveland Monsters during round three of the playoffs.
The second home game will be played out of the Coca-Cola Coliseum, with hopes for the Toronto Marlies to make a comeback after the Monsters blanked the blue and white in the previous game, going 0-4.
Fans can secure tickets through Ticketmaster, ahead of Friday evening’s game.

Doors Open
Doors Open Toronto takes over the city once again.
Beginning Saturday, the annual event opens upon private spaces across the city for residents to see, including the Netflix building, Lower Bay subway station, The Second City and more. Doors Open gives a unique experience to see areas not usually open to the public.
With over 160 places to explore, residents can look through the list of participating locations to see what they can check out for free.
Motionball’s Marathon of Sport
The largest sporting event in Canada is back.
The Marathon of Sport gala by motionball brings a full day of inclusive sports where participants of all abilities come together to compete, connect, and raise funds in support of the Special Olympics Canada Foundation.
Participants can expect their team to be paired with 1-2 local Special Olympics athletes who will compete alongside them throughout the day. You’ll take part in multiple sports and activities, including soccer, football, basketball, ultimate giant pong, benchball, and more.

Plant Fair 2026
This community garden fundraiser gives people with green thumbs a chance to purchase a variety of plants, from pollinators to herbs & veggies.
Hosted in Roncy United Church, this accessible space will transform into a forest of different plant species for gardeners to discover.
Admission is free, so anyone can drop by when doors are open from 10:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m.
