On the heels of a double Juno win, Toronto R&B star Daniel Caesar has announced his world tour, with a hometown stop this summer.
Known for hits like “Best Part,” “Get You,” and “Japanese Denim,” Caesar will take the Scotiabank Arena stage on August 2 for his “Son Of Spergy Tour.” He’ll be supported by American singer-songwriter Faye Webster.
Released in fall 2025, Son of Spergy is Caesar’s fourth studio album and his first full project since 2023.
In a video posted to Instagram, Caesar explained the meaning behind Spergy – a nickname for his father, who was once a singer in the Jamaican tourism industry before moving to Canada to work with 3ABN, a Seventh Day Adventist television network.
The tour announcement comes just days after Caesar took home two out of four Juno nominations: Songwriter of the Year, as well as the award for Contemporary R&B Recording of the Year. He also received the International Achievement Award from his fellow Toronto-born collaborator and friend Mustafa, and performed “Who Knows.”
Caesar’s “Son Of Spergy Tour,” marks his first full-length tour since his “Superpowers World Tour” back in 2023, but that wasn’t the last time he popped up in his hometown. Last September, the Scarborough native announced an intimate, free outdoor concert at Toronto’s Trinity Bellwoods park.

During the stripped down impromptu show, he played guitar as speakers broadcast the music throughout the park. The packed crowd even saw some fans climbing trees to get a better glimpse.
