’I like communication’: John Ferguson says no to ghosting culture
Ferguson shares that he’s been ghosted before and doesn’t agree with the practice.
“Ghosting’s bad because I like communication, but I’m also someone who’s had that happen to me. I’d say it’s crappy because we’re in a world now where everyone’s overthinking. We’re seeing all this crap on our phones, and like overthinking happens,” he told Now Toronto.
Ferguson believes in being straight-up with someone instead.
“You should at least be honest. If you’re not into the person, if you’ve moved on, let them know, because at least then they aren’t just at home overthinking or anxious,” he explained.
‘I’d say at least three’: John Ferguson agrees with the three-date rule
The Canadian reality TV star says he feels strongly about this subject, saying he doesn’t want anyone to feel “used for sex or pleasure.”
“If you’ve already created a strong connection, which typically would take a minimum of three soirees, I think that’s okay. So I’d say at least three,” Ferguson shared.
What’s Ferguson’s relationship dealbreaker?
“If you’re lazy, I’m not really into you,” Ferguson told Now Toronto.
He said that his partner needs to have a goal and be motivated to improve every morning.
Ferguson joked that the day he came into Now Toronto’s studio, his goal was to get up on the high stool for the interview, despite being offered a lower chair.
“I grew up like four foot one, and now I’m on this stool,” he joked.
So, Ferguson said he needs someone with motivation and a good work ethic.
Now, the Canadian reality TV star is on the currently airing TLC show Little Singles, but is actually not single—rather, in a year-and-a-half-long relationship with Millie Cutler.
After experiencing talking stages and hookups, he’s finally met ‘the one’ for him, sharing ‘it’s either her or no one else. But Ferguson is still a strong believer in his hot dating takes, and staying firm in these beliefs has helped him meet his partner.
