The wait is over, Toronto’s first WNBA team is set to take the court! The Toronto Tempo will play their inaugural pre-season game at home against the Connecticut Sun at Coca-Cola Coliseum.

This game marks the first time the team will compete in a WNBA match since the franchise’s expansion was announced. 

The Tempo will then head to Minneapolis on May 1 for their second pre-season game against the Minnesota Lynx.

The regular season kicks off on May 8, when Toronto hosts the Washington Mystics. 

Fans can look forward to 22 home games throughout the season, as the Tempo compete in the seven-team Eastern Conference.

Coached by Sandy Brondello, the team recently completed its inaugural draft and is ready to showcase its talent on the court. 

The regular season will run through September, giving fans plenty of opportunities to cheer on Toronto’s newest professional basketball team.
