Temperatures are starting to drop in Toronto, but the city is still buzzing with things to do this weekend. 

From art festivals to baking classes, there’s an event for every taste in the city this weekend. 

FRIDAY

MULTIfest Interactive Art festival

Location: Stackt Market (28 Bathurst St.)

A new festival of interactive and digital art returns to STACKT Market this fall, where attendees can explore art installations, audiovisual performances, workshops and lots of family programming. 

The festival happens alongside Nuit Blanche, inviting guests to enjoy an afternoon show and tell of immersive installations, followed by a happy hour accompanied by DJ beats and live visuals. 

This event is happening everyday from 5–11 p.m. between Oct. 1 and Oct. 8, while the Nuit Blanche immersive show and tell will take place on Oct. 3. No tickets are necessary to attend. 

Sake Day – Kampai Pop Up 

Location: Waterworks Food Hall (50 Brant St.)

Whether you are a sake enthusiast or just looking for something to do this Friday, this Sake Day at Waterworks Food Hall brings the best of Japan’s national beverage to Toronto. Guests can sample and purchase some of the most rare and exclusive sake brands presented by the Sake Institute of Ontario (SIO), explore new flavours and expand on their beverage collection. 

This year, the pop-up is also promoting Sake Restaurant Week, offering an assembly of local restaurants with unique sake brands paired with delicious collaboration menus. 

This event is 19+ and guests need to purchase tickets to attend. Tickets go for about $50 at Eventbrite. The event runs from 6–9 p.m. 

Riverside’s Vintage Crawl (Fall Edition)

Location: Queen St. E. between Broadview Ave. and Boulton Ave.

Looking to do some fall shopping? This vintage sale might be the perfect opportunity to start. The event invites attendees to do some in-store vintage shopping, along with sidewalk sales. Guests can also enjoy raffle prizes, DJ sounds, and complimentary snacks and refreshments while shopping.

Nuit Blanche 

Location: Multiple

One of Toronto’s most anticipated contemporary art celebrations is back this weekend! For one night, Nuit Blanche will transform the entire city into an open-air art experience, bringing more than 70 contemporary art projects to Toronto’s streets and public spaces, and there’s something unexpected to explore in every corner. 

This year marks the 20th anniversary of the festival with the theme Tomorrow’s Memories, which invites attendees to look back to the artists and communities that defined the event as we know it. 

Nuit Blanche is taking place across several locations around the city, which can be found on its website. The art event is happening between 7 p.m. and 7 a.m.

The Stop Farmers’ Market @ Wychwood Barns Park

Location: Wychwood Barns Park (601 Christie St.)

Celebrate the diverse cultures of the GTA and the food traditions that make the city vibrant at this incredible Saturday farmers’ market. The market features over 35 vendors, supporting emerging and established producers and bringing neighbours together to enjoy some healthy food and celebrate the local community. 

The market is also committed to providing affordable products, supporting racialized vendors, and creating a community-led space. 

This event is happening every Saturday until Dec. 19 from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m., and no tickets are required to attend. 

Free Admission Weekend at Textile Museum of Canada

The Ontario Culture Days Festival is back, bringing a fall celebration of arts and culture to the province with tons of free programming. As part of the festival, the Textile Museum of Canada is inviting guests to enjoy activities and check out its exhibitions for free. 

Guests can visit the Learning Hub for free drop-in activities with fully restocked fabrics and support as part of its Reuse Program, as well as explore three free exhibitions, including Made by Many, Always in Fashion, and Retracing Tatreez. 

Tickets are not needed to attend, but guests can register on the museum’s website. The free admission weekend is happening on Oct. 3 and Oct. 4 from 12–5 p.m.

Toronto Sauna Festival 2026

Location: Evergreen Brick Works (550 Bayview Ave.)

Looking to relax after a long week? How about relaxing in a sauna? 

The Toronto Sauna Festival invites guests to enjoy sauna culture, cold exposure, live music, recovery, and community over this weekend experience. 

Festival activities include a world-class sauna experience with unique sauna traditions from around the world, facilitated cold plunges, sessions of yoga, pilates, and other guided experiences, DJ soundtracks, recovery launches with light therapy, compression, and other treatments, curated food vendors, and more.

Best Croissant & Best Baguette in Toronto – The 2026 Competition

Are you a fan of food competitions? If so, this is your chance to taste one!

Some of the best bakers in Toronto will compete to find the best croissants and baguettes in the city, and guests are invited to sample some of the best creations and other delicious pastries by the competition’s finalists.
