Tory Lanez is going on tour, but he won’t be performing

Tory Lanez is going on tour, despite currently serving a prison sentence.

The Canadian rapper has announced the NOT ON “TOR”, TOUR, a multi-city event series kicking off September 25 in New York. 

The events will feature sets from world-class DJs, special guests, and Tory Lanez’s latest album alongside hits and fan favourites from his catalogue.

However, Tory Lanez will not be appearing or performing at the events.

Lanez is currently serving a 10-year prison sentence after being convicted in connection with the 2020 shooting of rapper Megan Thee Stallion in Los Angeles. Lanez has an expected release date of 2023.

The tour is designed as an experience for the “day-one fans” who have supported Lanez throughout his career, bringing his music and community together while he remains incarcerated.

The announcement comes after Lanez released his latest album, Made You Think I Was Gone …But, this year.

Toronto is also expected to be one of the stops on the tour, although an official Toronto date has not yet been announced. Additional cities and dates are expected to be revealed.
