The statement has brought a feeling of relief to his fan base as many took to social media to share heartfelt messages.

“Being stabbed 14 times and still breathing is actually a miracle,” an Instagram user said.

“Prayers for your speedy recovery and thank God you are okay,” another user said.

Lanez was sentenced to 10 years for the 2020 shooting of Megan in the feet. In 2023, he was convicted of three gun-related charges including assault with a semi-automatic firearm.

News of the shooting erupted in the Hip-Hop community at the time, and created a divide amongst fans as many took to social media to choose sides.

In January, a judge granted a restraining order for Megan until early 2030 after the rapper alleged she was being harassed by Lanez from prison via surrogates.
