Harmonious melodies and angelic voices combine in the TSO’s latest concert, and we’re giving away free tickets!

Expect solace and harmony as Sir Andrew Davis conducts Faure’s Requiem at a Toronto Symphony Orchestra (TSO) Remembrance Day performance.

From Nov. 8-11, Sir Davis will lead the weekend performances in honour of the holiday at Roy Thomson Hall. The concerts will include a Canadian Première commission of “Mother and Child” composed by and featuring Ed Frazier Davis alongside luminous soprano Nardus Williams, and Mozart’s Symphony No. 40. In addition, a prayerful and harmonious redemption of Fauré’s Requiem will be performed and accompanied by the angelic voices of the Amadeus Choir.

Fans of the orchestra are in luck as Now Toronto has partnered with the TSO to give away five pairs of tickets to “Sir Davis Conducts Faure’s Requiem” on Nov. 11, at 8 p.m at Roy Thomson Hall.

To enter, participants must follow @nowtoronto, @to_downtownwest and @torontosymphony on social media and comment who they’re bringing to the concert. 

To be eligible to win, you must legally reside in Canada, excluding Quebec, and must be over the age of 18. The contest starts on Oct. 30 at 12 p.m. and runs until Nov. 6 at 12 p.m. Rules and regulations are here.

TSO 2023/24 SEASON 

Sir Davis’ show is one of a number of riveting performances in the TSO’s 2023/24 lineup. Upcoming concerts include the Canadian Première of Young People’s Concert Saint-Georges’ Sword & Bow, Michael Tilson Thomas Conducts Mahler and the classic film Home Alone with a live orchestra in concert.

The TSO has a unique ability to make its audience feel alive with its harmonious melodies, precision, expertly guided by the conductor to create a beautiful tapestry of sound. Most of the TSO’s concerts are performed at Roy Thomson Hall in downtown Toronto.
