With more stores staying open this long weekend, there’s no need to stay locked up at home.
Now Toronto compiled a list of seven neighbourhoods’ shopping scenes for you to go and treat yourself to this long weekend.

Kensington Market
Kensington Market’s known for its cute boutiques and vendors. The Kensington flea market has returned for another season, open for business every Saturday and Sunday from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. One store to check out include Urban Vogue, a slow-fashion shop with bags and a wardrobe made with 100 per cent cotton, handmade in Jaipur. There’s also Besseha jewellery, a woman-owned jewelry business that produces shower-safe, high-quality jewelry.
Queen Street West
This hip district is filled with listening rooms, wine bars, tattoo shops, shopping and pet experiences. Visit Queen Street West this weekend to visit the Boogie listening room or Wonder Pet Cafe for some cuddles from the cutest cats and dogs. Who knows, you might end up adopting a new pet. There are endless things to do in this neighbourhood, so be sure to check it out!
Leslieville
If you’re into boutiques and good views, Leslieville is the spot to be. Located in Toronto’s east end, Leslieville is known for its historic charm, lush trees, and vibrant atmosphere. Check out the Arts Market filled with many new and recurring vendors, and hike the Tommy Thompson Park for some gorgeous city views.
Toronto Islands
Cruise up to the Toronto Islands to tan and swim this warm long weekend. Saturday and Sunday expect a high of 23 C, and Monday, 28 C, so get your bathing suit ready. You can also rent canoes and do other water activities. This may not be a take-home shopping experience, but you can still buy an experience. If you’d rather take a break from the water, check out the Centreville Amusement Park.
Distillery District
If you love anything handmade or vendor markets, the Distillery District is hosting its maple vendor market from May 16 to 18 from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. with fashion items, art, handmade goods, and more. Summer seasonal vendors are also coming, starting May 15, with other unique finds. While shopping, enjoy live music featuring folk, rock, and pop.
Bloor-Yorkville
For anyone who loves everything designer, Bloor-Yorkville is the place to go. Holt Renfrew, filled with designer stores such as Chanel and Prada, is open for all your makeup, bags and clothing needs. If you need something more affordable, the Royal Ontario Museum will also be open, with a gift shop for all your shopping needs at a more sustainable price point.
