Legendary emo band American Football to tour Toronto this August

Legendary emo band American Football is coming to Toronto this August as part of their 2026 world tour.

Announced on Tuesday morning, the band will be making stops across the United States, United Kingdom and Europe this summer, with a single Canadian stop in Toronto at The Concert Hall in Yorkville on Aug. 8.

The band last played Toronto seven years ago at The Opera House in support of their third album, LP3.

American Football is most remembered for their 1999 debut self-titled album LP1 featuring the iconic “American Football house,” which the band purchased in 2023. “Never Meant,” the opening track off of the album, is considered by outlets like Variety and Vulture as one of the greatest emo songs of all time.

Presale for the tour starts tomorrow, Feb. 4 at 10 a.m. EST on Ticketmaster. General sale tickets will be available Friday, Feb. 6.
