Bryan Adams, The Beaches and more: What to know about Toronto’s FIFA Countdown Concert

The FIFA World Cup hasn’t officially kicked off yet, but Toronto is getting the party started. The city is ready to host a first-of-its-kind three-city concert to kick off the tournament.

FIFA Countdown Concert comes to Toronto

The FIFA Countdown Concert will take place Wednesday at Fort York National Historic Site and The Bentway, home of Toronto’s FIFA Fan Festival.

The 90-minute concert will connect Toronto with simultaneous live shows in Mexico City and Los Angeles, uniting fans across North America and in FIFA World Cup host cities.

The Toronto concert will be broadcast live from 9:00 p.m. to 10:30 p.m. ET. Fans around the world can tune in through FIFA’s global broadcast and digital channels, including a livestream on the FIFA World Cup TikTok account. 

TikTok is serving as the event’s exclusive social media livestream partner.

Star-studded Toronto lineup

Toronto’s lineup features performances by Bryan Adams, The Beaches, Nora Fatehi alongside Sanjoy and Vegedream, and AHI with Wyclef Jean.

Tickets are still available, with general admission starting at $47.83. Pitchside Terrace tickets begin at $183.25, while Casamigos Clubhouse passes are available for $358.70.

Concerts across North America

Toronto’s show is one of three synchronized concerts taking place across the continent.

In Los Angeles, Major Lazer, led by Diplo, and Davido are set to headline the event.

Meanwhile, the Mexico City concert will feature Los Ángeles Azules, Belinda, Elena Rose, and a special surprise guest appearance.

More entertainment throughout the tournament

The Countdown Concert is just one of many entertainment offerings that Torontonians and visitors from around the world will enjoy throughout the tournament.

The FIFA Fan Festival will feature performances from artists including Alessia Cara, Kiesza, Jully Black, French Montana and more.

Toronto Stadium’s opening ceremony will also showcase a star-studded lineup featuring Alanis Morissette, Alessia Cara, Elyanna, Jessie Reyez, Michael Bublé, Nora Fatehi, Sanjoy, Vegedream, William Prince and additional performers.
