Cineplex brings back $3.99 Family Favourites: When and where they are screening

Cineplex is bringing back its $3.99 Family Favourites program to some of its locations across Ontario this month. Here's when and where you can take advantage of the screenings.

Starting Jan. 17, Cineplex is offering tickets as low as $3.99, showcasing family-friendly films at participating locations. 

The titles featured during its Family Favourites program are selected monthly and to be posted on its website at the beginning of each month.

While the program is scheduled to run on Saturdays, the company says, “programming may take place on days other than Saturday” and that “films are subject to change.” Any modifications can be found on its website.

Tickets start at $3.99 plus tax, with the online booking fees waived for CineClub members. Here are the films that will be featured so far.

Madagascar 20th Anniversary

Universal Pictures is celebrating the 20th anniversary of Madagascar with a theatrical re-release. The first of three films in the animated comedy franchise starring Ben Stiller, Chris Rock, David Schwimmer, and Jada Pinkett Smith has grossed over $193 million worldwide, according to Box Office Mojo.

It follows Alex the Lion, and his best friend Marty the Zebra on their adventures outside of New York’s Central Park Zoo. To find out how their journey pans out, you can book the tickets directly on the Cineplex website.

The King of Kings

This animated Christian film stars the voices of Uma Thurman, Pierce Brosnan, Forest Whitaker, Ben Kinglsey, and Oscar Isaac. First released in April, it was a box office success, grossing over $80 million. Follow young Walter as he learns about the tale of Jesus Christ. You can purchase tickets on the Cineplex website.

The Day The Earth Blew Up: A Looney Tunes Movie

Time: Jan. 31, 2026 @ 11:00 a.m.

Location: Cineplex Odeon Niagara Square Cinemas (7555 Montrose Road, Niagara Falls)

This family-friendly comedy is the first fully-animated feature-length film from Looney Tunes. Itfollows Daffy Duck and Porky Pig as they turn into unlikely heroes who risk it all to save the planet from aliens.
