Fans of American rapper Sexyy Red might be able to see her perform in Toronto soon, but at an unexpected location.
In a tweet posted last week, a Toronto fan said, “Sexyy Red need a Toronto tour date but she gotta perform in the Jane and Finch mall parking lot for the culture.”

Sexyy Red, born as Janae Nierah Wherry, is an up-and-coming artist dominating the charts right now. The singer/rapper first began releasing songs in 2018, among them was her viral song “Ah Thousand Jugs,” a remake of Vanessa Carlton’s “A Thousand Miles.”
In 2022, her single “Born by the River,” featuring Sukihana, garnered some attention, however back in January the Missouri native really blew up when her hit “Pound Town” became the talk of the town online. So much so, it even influenced Nicki Minaj to join a remix of the song to create “Pound Town 2.”
Fans loved Sexyy Red’s ability to be unapologetically herself and undeniably real. Currently, her most popular song is “SkeeYee” which was released earlier in June. The accompanying music video has over 17 million views as of publication and the song itself has over 29 million streams on Spotify alone.
