Toronto, don’t let the snow stop you from having fun this long weekend. There’s tons of events to attend from a chocolate workshop, art galleries and a retro arcade.

Friday, Feb. 16:
Chocolate and Chill: Edible Art Workshop And Rom-Com Soirée
Create your very own chocolate art and snack on some popcorn while watching a classic rom-com movie at the Chocolate and Chill: Edible Art Workshop And Rom-Com Soirée. The beginner-friendly workshop is happening at QUEST XO Chocolate Lab from 6:30 to 8:30 pm. Tickets are $67.80 each.

Friday Pro Stand Up Comedy @ Chefs Hall Toronto
Laugh until you fall off your seat at Chefs Hall where four stand-up comedians will take the stage. Tickets are $10 each and the show starts at 6:30 p.m. Attendees are encouraged to register for tickets in advance, as walk-up tickets are not guaranteed to be available.

PA Day: Kids Visit Free
Make the most out of your kids’ PA day by bringing them to the Royal Ontario Museum (ROM) to see jaw-dropping dinosaurs and to visit the new play space WonderWorks. The museum says its star dinosaur Zuul crurivastator is back from its tour of Japan and is on display for a limited time. Kids aged four to 14 and youth aged 15 to 19 can enter for free. The ROM is open from 10 a.m. to 5:30 p.m.

Saturday, Feb. 17:
Superman in Concert
DC fans, this one’s for you. The Toronto Symphony Orchestra is performing the soundtrack to the 1978 classic Superman at Roy Thomson Hall. The film’s score by John Williams was nominated for three Grammy Awards in 1980. It even won Best Album of Original Score Written for a Motion Picture. Tickets range from $81 to $156 and the show starts at 7:30 p.m.

OCAD University is inviting guests to its free art exhibition power at Onsite Gallery. The exhibit features the work of seven Toronto-based artists and offers artworks that challenge dominant capitalist and state capitalist worldviews. The artists use different mediums to showcase the meaning of power. The event starts at noon and ends at 5 p.m.

Legally Blonde
If you love the film, then you’ll especially enjoy the theatrical production of Legally Blonde at the University of Toronto’s Hart House Theatre. Fans can relive the story of Elle Woods and her journey through Harvard Law, as she navigates a condescending ex, jealous peers and dubious professors. The show starts at 8 p.m and tickets are $25 each.

Sunday, Feb. 18:
Crochet Workshop with Chason Yeboah
Learn a new skill at the Crochet Workshop with Chason Yeboah presented by the Textile Museum of Canada. From 2 to 5 p.m, you can relax and crochet away the stresses in your life.
Chason Adjoa Nana Yeboah-Brown is a self-taught textile sculptor who will lead the workshop. Tickets are $40 each.

Family Day Weekend Activities at Scarborough Museum
Bring your family to Scarborough Museum to play some Family Day activities. The museum will be providing insightful programming, warm drinks and a curated selection of books for all families. There will also be story-time and craft sessions throughout the day. It’s free to attend and is happening from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m.

Retro Arcade at Hotel X Toronto
Enjoy a blast from the past and play some old school games at the Retro Arcade at Hotel X. It’s a pop-up event that provides visitors with the opportunity to relive their favourite games from the 1980s and 90s. The event will also be showing some movies in the Screening Room across from the arcade. The arcade is available until Mar. 17 from 9 a.m to 10 p.m on Monday to Thursdays and 9 a.m to 11 p.m. on Fridays and weekends. Tickets are $18.80 each.
