
Toronto, you’re in for an unforgettable weekend! This weekend is full of events to celebrate Lunar New Year, the 2024 Super Bowl game, and of course, Valentine’s Day.
Torontonians are also lucky because it’s going to be unusually warm making it the ideal weather to be out and about. This weekend, there’s a Valentine’s Taste-Around, a Lunar New Year festival and lots of Super Bowl viewing parties. Here’s what you can check out:
Friday, Feb. 9:
The Coors Light Chill Train Brings Epic Prizes on its Journey to the Big Game!
Get in the Super Bowl spirit and head down to Yonge and Dundas Square to catch the Coors Light Chill Train from 8 a.m. to 7 p.m. The iconic beer brand is premiering its first-ever Canadian Super Bowl ad and is making stops across the country on its way to the big game, giving away epic prizes, including a 65-inch TV and a chance to win a trip to the 2025 big game.

MacBeth: “A Tale Told by an Idiot”
Experience one of Shakespeare’s classic productions, Macbeth, at the Red Sandcastle Theatre. MacBeth: “A Tale Told by an Idiot” is performed by a solo actor armed with a range of multi-sized puppets and masks, and lots of theatre magic. Witness the weird sisters, ruthless murders, moments of madness and of course, Macbeth, the blood-soaked king on Feb. 8 at 7:30 p.m. and Feb. 9 at 1:30 p.m. Tickets are $30 in advance and $40 at the door.

Valentine’s Taste-Around
Spend a romantic evening with Eataly Yorkville just in time for Valentine’s Day. The restaurant has organized a taste-around that includes ten stations of delicious chef-curated creations and desserts. Dishes include hazelnuts and mascarpone risotto, limoncello shrimps, and strawberry tiramisù, among others. Tickets are $50 each and the event is from 6 to 8 p.m.

Saturday, Feb. 10:
2024 Toronto Chinatown New Year Celebration
Celebrate Lunar New Year in Chinatown where there’ll be a huge festival honouring Asian heritage and culture. The free event is known to attract more than 13,000 visitors during the two-day celebration from Feb. 10 to 11. The festival is happening at Chinatown Centre and Dragon City Mall from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m.

‘Love and Friendship’ Artisan Market
Looking for the perfect gift for Valentine’s Day? Then you must visit the Love and Friendship Artisan Market at Riverdale Hub. There’s going to be an array of local artists and vendors selling unique items and one-of-a-kind goods. The market will also coincide with a special exhibition at the Riverdale Hub Gallery called ‘Mix and Fold.’ The event is free and it’s happening from noon to 5 p.m.

The Winter Chocolate Show 2024
Here’s a show that would have Willy Wonka swooning! The Toronto Reference Library and the Bram and Bluma Appel Salon presents The Winter Chocolate Show. It’s a chocolate lover’s dream that includes plenty of samples for tasting, workshops on chocolate, and opportunities to meet Canada’s best chocolatiers. It’s all happening at 789 Yonge Street from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.

The Ultimate Super Bowl LVIII Owner’s Tailgate and Viewing Party at Four Seasons Hotel Toronto
Watch the 2024 Super Bowl in luxury at the Four Seasons Hotel on Sunday. The hotel is hosting a viewing party with d|bar where you can comfortably watch the Kansas City Chiefs and San Francisco 49ers battle it out on the field. There’s going to be interactive stations, unlimited à la carte dinner and dessert menus, an open bar and exclusive prizes to win. The event begins at 5 p.m. and runs until midnight.

SUNDAY NIGHT HEAT
Bring a friend or a special someone to the Comedy Bar to enjoy a night of comedy about love, loss and situationships. The night will feature improv, stand-up, sketch, and musical comedy from some of the best comics in the city. Tickets are $18 for one and $23 for two.

Black Frequency
The Clark Centre presents “Black Frequency,” an interactive exhibit by Monique Armstrong, Founder of B. Emerging Creatives Canada. In honour of Black History Month, Armstrong has created an exhibit that amplifies and recognizes the voices of Black individuals and communities throughout Canada influenced by the medium of film. The free exhibit is available at the Clark Centre for the Arts from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.
