Michael Jackson’s nephew, Jaafar Jackson, is set to play the King of Pop in an upcoming biopic.
In his acting debut, the 26-year-old will play the music legend in the biopic Michael, which will be directed by American filmmaker Antoine Fuqua.
The casting was announced by Lionsgate, with the film to be produced by Oscar-winner Graham King, who also produced the hit Bohemian Rhapsody, a film profiling the late Queen frontman Freddy Mercury.
Jaafar is the son of Michael’s brother, Jermaine, and has released songs from various types of genres in the past.
“I’m humbled and honored to bring my Uncle Michael’s story to life,” Jackson said on Twitter.
