Hellooooo, Toronto! Mrs. Doubtfire the musical is coming to the city for a limited time in the New Year.
The internationally-acclaimed musical is based on the beloved film of the same name and tells the story of Daniel Hillard, an out-of-work actor, played by the late Robin Williams, who loses custody of his kids in a messy divorce. To stay in his kids’ lives, he creates his hilarious alter ego of a Scottish nanny named Euphegenia Doubtfire.
Starring Craig Allen Smith in the lead role, the musical’s run in Toronto is the only Canadian stop in its North American tour.
The funny and heartwarming musical is coming to Toronto’s Princess of Wales Theatre for less than two weeks, from Jan. 6-18, 2026.
Ahead of the Toronto stop, Mirvish posted a promotional video on Instagram of Smith in character as Mrs. Doubtfire saying she’ll be “serving up more laughs than a hockey game in overtime.”
The runtime is about 2 hours and 20 minutes (including intermission), and the musical will be playing Tuesday to Saturday at 7:30 p.m., Wednesday at 1:30 p.m. and Saturday and Sunday at 2 p.m.
