A Los Angeles-based rapper is seemingly pointing a finger at Drake for his abruptly cancelled concert in Toronto.
ScHoolboy Q’s first stop on his “Blue Lips Weekends” tour, was supposed to be at Toronto’s HISTORY venue on Thursday evening.
The rapper took to social media to rant about his show being cancelled only one day prior and suggested that “Canadian police” are intentionally preventing members of Top Dawg Entertainment (TDE) record label from performing in the city.
Now Toronto reached out to Live Nation for comment but did not receive a response by time of publication.
Perhaps the most notable member of TDE is Kendrick Lamar, which is where the rapper’s speculation stems, following the months-long rap feud between Lamar and Drake earlier this year, where the entertainers unleashed harsh words and allegations against each other which included pedophilia, domestic violence, and sexual misconduct.

In a follow-up post on X, the “Collard Greens” rapper says Drake’s associates have been in close proximity – TDE’s founder Top was recently with Lil Wayne and Birdman, and Mississauga singer PARTYNEXTDOOR PartyNextDoor recently performed at the Hollywood Palladium – and if his team wanted to get at Drake, they already would have.
“Now when somebody gets hurt, don’t cry,” he said in another post.
Hip hop internet personality DJ Akademiks chimed in on X, calling for peace and healing amongst the threats. The streamer said while the rap battle was good, it’s now “time to move on.”
“I neva said “ima kill sumbody” ScHoolboy Q responded. “If we wanted to crack it off we could’ve smh.”
Social media users had mixed reactions towards the rapper’s X posts.
“The show was at History, the venue co-owned by Drake and Live Nation,” one X user posted. “Aubrey never beating the allegations.”
“Drake, you gotta stop this bro, enough is enough,” another user wrote.”
“LACK OF SELF AWARENESS STRIKES AGAIN. Not Everything is about YOU or Beef and conspiracies. There were SEVERE Tropical Rainstorms in Toronto yesterday. Many homes were destroyed, many places had no power. Having a show was not a priority. Grow up and read the ROOM!!” one user explained.
As the event has been cancelled, concert-goers can expect a refund, which Ticketmaster says will be returned in 14-21 days. ScHoolboy Q joins the growing list of artists that have cancelled or postponed their Toronto shows in the last few months.

The rapper was spotted in Toronto on Wednesday attending a Toronto FC soccer game at BMO Field.
As of now, fellow TDE artist SiR is scheduled to perform on July 30.
