One of the city’s most popular street festivals, Taste of the Danforth, is returning to Toronto this weekend following a three-year hiatus.
Last year, the GreekTown on the Danforth BIA cancelled the event because it didn’t have sufficient time to adapt the festival to changes on the street, including CafeTO. In 2020 and 2021, the festival was cancelled due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
Now, residents and tourists can welcome back the beloved Greek event with open arms. From Aug. 11 to 13, they can enjoy mouth watering Greek cuisine, delicious desserts, drinks and of course, entertainment.
Live performances include Olga Elma, Sakis Ramis, Sol de Cuba, Marta Elena and Soukustek, among others.
Taste of the Danforth supports the city’s local businesses from restaurants and cafes to bakeries. It invites families and friends to experience a vibrant celebration of diverse cultures in the heart of Greektown.
Located across Danforth Ave., the festival attracts over a million visitors every year.
