Japanese film lovers in Toronto, I’m looking at you!

The 12th annual Toronto Japanese Film Festival (TJFF) is kicking off on Thursday and will run until June 22.

The highly anticipated festival has grown into one of the largest film events of its kind in the world and is recognized by the Japanese community as an important way to bring Japanese film and culture to the world stage.

However, Japan needs very little introduction to the cinematic realm since the country is home to the world’s fourth largest film industry.

If this peaks your interest, the screenings take place at the Japanese Canadian Cultural Centre (JCCC) which is celebrating its 60th anniversary throughout the month.

TJFF will also include musical performances, art exhibitions and lots of great Japanese food.

Single tickets are $11.50 for JCCC members and $13.27 for non-members.
