The Toronto Raptors will celebrate its annual Pride night on Thursday at the Scotiabank Arena and everyone is welcome.

The event will elevate voices within the 2SLGBTQ+ community and “ensure fans from all identities feel welcomed in our family and our arena.”

“Our Mission is to Champion a growing culture of equity, understanding, and non-violence by acting against all forms of racism and hate,” the team wrote on its website.

“We believe differences in ability, age, ethnicity, gender, race, religion, sexual orientation, or socio-economic status should not differentiate how people are treated: with kindness, with compassion, and with respect. We believe that listening is as important as speaking. We will not hesitate to take action, and we will do so intentionally, focused on change.”

Taking the stage for the halftime show is talented Canadian rapper and Juno Award Winner, Haviah Mighty.

The national anthem will also be sung by Filipino-Canadian Raymond Salgado who was a Semi Finalist on 2023 Canada’s Got Talent.
