One Canadian is going viral for how he ate a Jamaican patty and, trigger warning, it’s hard to watch.

Ottawa resident and TikTok user David Parody, had people all the way messed up after he tried the Caribbean delicacy for the first time.

Although no patty was harmed in the making of his videos (still debatable), hearts certainly were.

Before digging in, David cut open the beef patty with a knife to inspect the interior.

That was his first strike.

“Look how him cut the bombo*** patty!!!,” one user wrote.

Things took a turn for the worse when David added Sirracha sauce to the savoury pastry.

“The whole video hurt mi soul,” someone else said.

The TikToker later made two more videos trying a patty.

The problem? The second time around he says he ate an empanada by accident instead.

However, the third time around he seemed to get the patty right, albeit burnt via an air fryer, it was progress nonetheless.

Things were actually going in the right direction until he called plantain “banana chips.”

In David’s final patty installment, as if he didn’t upset the Jamaican community enough, he read through some of the comments he’s been receiving, doing his best to brush up on his patois.

“As a Jamaican, your Jamaican accent wasn’t bad at all. But bredda just bite the patty like a big man,” another user chimed in.
