With Halloween coming up, Torontonians are expected to party hard that night as the city is considered the top partying destination in Canada, a new report from Uber reveals.

On Wednesday, the rideshare platform revealed its 2024 nightlife index indicating the top party cities, most popular party dates, and the top hangover foods.

The index found that Toronto took the number one spot for the top party city in Canada, snatching the crown from London, Ontario who held the position for the past two years. London is now in second place, with Winnipeg in third, Ottawa in fourth and Regina in fifth.

The results are based on the average number of late-night trips riders take between 10 p.m to 2 a.m. in each city every month.

Not only do Torontonians party hard, but they also arrive in style. The index says Torontonians are the most bougie riders, ordering more Uber Black rides than any other Canadian city.

Meanwhile, Montrealers prefer Uber Share, Quebec City favours Uber Comfort and Winnipeg is the most environmentally conscious with Uber Green.

When it comes to when Canadians like to party, the index found that the “hottest nights to let loose” are Halloween weekend (Oct. 27-31), followed by New Years Eve, St. Patrick’s Day, Calgary Stampede (held in July) and the holiday party season between Dec. 10-17.

The post-recovery after a party is also equally important. For Canadians, their top hangover foods between 9 a.m to 1 p.m on weekends for the second year in a row are hot coffee and hashbrowns, followed by bagels, iced coffee and doughnuts.
