The Toronto Blue Jays fans finally had something to celebrate Wednesday night after Daulton Varsho delivered one of the team’s biggest moments of the season.

The Jays avoided a brutal home sweep in the 10th inning to secure a 5-3 win over the Tampa Bay Rays.

The game was lookedk dicey for Toronto, with the Jays risking a sweep if they weren’t able to secure the win on Wednesday, following a 6-7 loss on Tuesday and a 5-8 L on Monday.

But, heavy-hitter Daulton Varsho came to the rescue with a grand slam for the Jays at the bottom of the 10th inning, leading to a 5-3 win for the local boys.

This was the team’s first walk-off grand slam in a minute. The last time the Blue Jays accomplished the feat was thanks to Steve Pearce back in 2017.

People in the city couldn’t get enough of the W, posting their excitement on social media following the walk-off.
