The time has finally come, Toronto! Hilary Duff is making her highly anticipated return to the city for the first of two shows at RBC Amphitheatre.
Duff is bringing her The Lucky Me Tour to the outdoor venue Wednesday night before completing her Toronto run with a second show Thursday night.
It marks the second time Duff has brought a tour to the city this year, following her Small Rooms, Big Nerves Tour stop at HISTORY in January.
And for fans lucky enough to see the icon in person for a second time this year, there are a few things you need to know before heading to the show.
Set times
Duff will be joined by opening acts La Roux and Jade LeMac, making for an energetic lineup.
Doors open at 5:30 p.m., with the openers expected to take the stage around 7 p.m. Duff is scheduled to perform at approximately 9 p.m., with the show expected to wrap by 11 p.m.
Transportation
Taking GO Transit to the venue is easy for GO commuters, with Exhibition GO Station being the closest station to the venue.
TTC Riders can take the 509 Harbourfront streetcar from Union Station to Exhibition Loop. From there, walk south through the Exhibition grounds and along the pedestrian walkway to the venue.
There is no public parking available at Ontario Place on event nights, other than parking for guests with accessible needs.
A designated pick-up/drop-off, rideshare and taxi area is located a short walk east of the main gates.
Bag policy
For everyone’s safety, fans are asked to bring only small clutches, belt bags, fanny packs or clear bags to allow for efficient security screening.
The maximum allowable bag size is 12” x 6” x 12” (30 cm x 15 cm x 30 cm), including purses.
Bags larger than 6” x 9” (15 cm x 23 cm) but within the maximum size must be single-compartment and clear on all sides.
Rain or shine
A thunderstorm risk is in the forecast for Toronto, according to Environment Canada. The venue operates rain or shine, and small, collapsible umbrellas are permitted inside.
So, it may be worth checking the forecast before you head out and dressing accordingly.
