Toronto now has its very own New York’s Missed Connections photo booth, where residents can snap a picture of themselves and leave with two photo strips – one of themselves and one featuring their potential soulmate.
Just Missed Her is the latest way to find love in the city. The photo booth plays off the New York City photo booth that recently went viral on social media.
The concepts of the booths are similar, with the Just Missed Her photo booth allowing residents to take 3 photos and answer a few questions for $15. Those who take pictures will get their own photo strip, as well as the photo strip of their potential soulmate based on their answers.
The catch? They only receive their soulmate’s photos and name, with no contact information to reach them.
“The rest is up to the city,” according to the Just Missed Her website.
The booth freshly opened on Tuesday, with its current home right outside of Lucky’s Exotic Bodega on Ossington Ave, near Dundas St W.
Torontonian reaction
Following New York City’s hype, Torontonians also brought the excitement, with many sounding off fire emojis and words of excitement.
“AHHH SO SICK,” one TikTok user wrote.
Others shared the same sentiment, showing their dedication to the new soulmate finder.
“ETA: three days, but I’ll be there,” one Instagram user wrote.
“I just know there’s going to be a line tomorrow,” another resident said on TikTok.
The Just Missed Her organization did not say whether the photo booth is a pop-up or a permanent installation.
