Drake has finally given fans an answer to one of his latest mysteries.
After weeks of teasing something called Fear of Missing Out, the Toronto rapper shared the first preview Saturday and confirmed FOMO is a “not so short film” set to premiere on YouTube Sept. 15 at 9 p.m. ET.
“FOMO. A not so short film directed and scored by the family SEPTEMBER 15,” Drake captioned the Instagram teaser.
After Drake’s trilogy rollout, including Iceman, Habibti, and Maid of Honour, the Toronto-born rapper has been dropping hints of releasing FOMO.
Now, he dropped a preview of his short film, expected to come out on YouTube on Sept. 15.
“FOMO. A not so short film directed and scored by the family SEPTEMBER 15,” the iconic rapper captioned the post.
This comes after a cryptic post a few days ago, where fans weren’t sure what to expect, the time it would be posted, or whether the project would be a livestream, music video or tour announcement.
Drake finally explains ‘FOMO’
The reveal clears up at least part of the speculation that has followed Drake’s FOMO teasers for the past month.
He first dropped the phrase in August alongside old family photos captioned “FOMO 2026.” Later came an image resembling the back of a CD case bearing the words Fear of Missing Out, followed by a Sept. 15 YouTube date with little explanation.
That ambiguity had fans guessing whether Drake was preparing another album, a visual project, livestream or even something connected to a future tour.
NOW previously reported that the Sept. 15 YouTube announcement was drawing comparisons to the elaborate rollout for Iceman. At the time, Drake hadn’t said what viewers would actually be watching.
Now we know it’s a film.
Whether it brings new music with it is another question. Drake specifically described FOMO as being “scored by the family,” but no soundtrack or new album has been announced.

Fans are ready for another Drake rollout
The timing comes about four months after Drake released three albums at once — Iceman, Habibti and Maid of Honour in May.
The surprise triple release followed the final Iceman livestream, where Drake revealed the two additional projects shortly before all three landed on streaming services.
His latest reveal quickly had OVO fans back in the comments.
“NOTHING BIGGER THAN THE OWL,” one Instagram user wrote.
“(F)or (O)vo (M)embers (O)nly,” another joked about the title.
“We struck gold,” one fan added, while others kept it simple with “Let’s go” and “I’m ready.”
For now, those hoping FOMO means another full Drake album will have to keep guessing.
But at least one mystery has been solved: on Sept. 15, Drake is taking fans back to YouTube — this time for a film.
