
Summer in the city is in full swing, and from the Toronto Fringe Festival to the Caribbean Vibrations Festival, tons of events are going on in Toronto this weekend.
Friday, July 11
Toronto Fringe Festival
It’s the second and final weekend of the 2025 Toronto Fringe Festival.
Described as Ontario’s largest performing arts festival, attendees can enjoy a variety of performances from talented actors, comedians, dancers and more. This year’s festival lineup includes over 100 shows at 20 venues across the city.

Toronto Outdoor Art Fair
A massive outdoor art fair is taking over Nathan Phillips Square this weekend. From 11 a.m. until 7 p.m. on Friday and Saturday, and from 11 a.m. – 5 p.m. on Sunday, work from more than 400 different artists will be on display as part of the 64th annual Toronto Outdoor Art Fair.
Described as Canada’s largest and longest-running contemporary outdoor art fair, the event will include a mix of emerging, established, and first-time exhibitors.

Downtown Toronto Rib Fest
Rib lovers, we’ve got one for you. For three days, the Downtown Toronto Ribfest will be bringing BBQ deliciousness to Sankofa Square.
The event runs from 12-11 p.m. on Friday and Saturday, and Sunday from 12-9 p.m., featuring plenty of different vendors.
Entrance is free, and pets are welcome but must be leashed, and owners must fill out and bring a pet waiver with them.

Saturday, July 12
Caribbean Vibrations Festival
Caribbean Vibrations TV, Canada’s longest-running Caribbean TV series, is hosting a two-day celebration of Caribbean culture.
The festival will include immersive performances with live music, dancing, and cultural showcases, rum tasting, special guests, a kids zone with family-friendly activities, and a marketplace with over 50 vendors and sponsors, showcasing authentic Caribbean products, art, crafts, and flavours from across the islands.
The festival runs Saturday and Sunday from 11 a.m. until 7 p.m. at the Harbourfront Centre’s Stage in the Park. Find out more about the inaugural festival here.
Mixto Festival
Head to Trillium Park on Saturday and Sunday for Mixto festival
Part of the SummerSeries in Trillium Park, the two-day festival is free to attend for all-ages, and family and pet-friendly.
The event is curated and produced by Uma Nota Culture, and includes a lineup of artists from across the Americas, including Bia Ferreira, Frente Cumbiero and Empanadas Ilegales, as well as Toronto artists like Ahmed Moneka, Orbital Ensemble, Ana Luisa, Sofia Fly and Sanjeet!

Water Gun Fight
Grab your friends and your favourite water gun and get ready for an event that screams childhood summertime nostalgia.
A massive water gun fight is planned for Saturday at 1:30 p.m. at Berczy Park.
Organizers promise an event filled with fun, laughter, and adventure, saying that whether you’re a water warrior or just looking to cool off and have fun, everyone is invited.
Costumes are encouraged, and people are reminded to bring waterproof protection for your things like your phone.
This event is family-friendly, and only water guns, water bottles, and homemade soakers are allowed. No real-looking guns or inappropriate weapons are permitted. Dyed water is not allowed, and attendees are asked to clean up after themselves.

Sunday, July 13
Soluna Sundays
Soak in the good vibes at a day party on Sunday. As part of their day party series, Soluna Toronto is bringing an Afro House music experience filled with open-air vibes and great music to the six.
This weekend’s lineup includes internationally recognized Afro House and tech DJs from South Africa, including Caiiro, Da Capo, and Bun Xapa, with support from local DJs Afrique Like Me, Crunch and TK Smoothe.

Promise Cherry Beach
The popular beach party series at Cherry Beach that has been bringing dance party vibes to the city for 25 years, Promise Cherry Beach, is back every Sunday through Labour Day.
This Sunday’s party will run from 4-11 p.m. with a lineup including DJs like Jeep Mix and Tyrese Soloman.
Children and seniors can attend for free, while pets are welcome at the event. While this party is an all-ages event, a bar is available for those 19 years of age and older. Find tickets here.
