We’ve entered a new era of convenience: Grocery Gateway (grocerygateway.com) now delivers liquor with dinner. Longo’s, which operates the online food supplier, now has virtual shelves stocked with over 160 different wines and spirits. The brands are basic, and it lacks the late-night convenience of dial-a-bottle, but if it saves you a strenuous trip to the LCBO, then why not?
Terroir works with Ontario wine
Terroir Symposium announced a partnership with Wine Country Ontario last week. Three terroir wine workshops feature noted winemakers, sommeliers, scientists and wine writers and will cover hot topics like Gamay, soil and clone varietals. Terroir takes place on May 12 at the Arcadian Court (401 Bay, 416-364-1211, terroirsymposium.com).
