Any seasoned Torontonian who’s ever had to wait for their train on a platform has definitely found themselves reciting subway service announcements bar for bar.

Not only is it a rite of passage, but it’s also kind of fun when you get every word right.

And one Toronto duo might have us all beat by how effortlessly they can mimic these announcements, tone and all.

TikTok user Austy (@moodydoodie) has been posting videos of him and his girlfriend saying these TTC declarations right before bed, calling it their nightly ritual, or rather, the perfect Toronto lullaby.

The couple first began posting these videos at the start of March and have been going strong ever since.

Their most popular video has garnered over 700,000 views.

“Arriving at Bloor Yonge, Bloor Yonge station. Change here for line two, doors will open on the right,” they hilariously said in unison.

And to say Toronto residents are loving it is an understatement.

“Why is this the funniest thing i’ve seen,” one user wrote.

“From time to time I hear several people repeating it on different stations, I feel like it’s already a song for everyone haha,” another person said.

Others even felt that their parody announcements were so good it was actually scary.

”The way you could actually turn the ttc into a full fledged horror movie with these,” one user said.

“Why does this remind me of the purge?,” someone else chimed in.
