Black Friday came and went in a blink of an eye, leaving many angry shoppers in its wake.

The highly anticipated day that is supposed to be full of discounts and savings has the internet enraged thanks to weak sales, and in some cases, keeping prices the same but slapping on a Black Friday sticker.

“Is it just me or do the Black Friday Sales suck this year?” one Canadian user on reddit said

“Like almost all the sales are regular sales, like 10%, 15%, the odd 40%. Aren’t Black Friday sales supposed to be bigger, even last year they were better.”

Others agreed, one user commented that they can’t even recall the last time they scored a good deal.

“I can’t remember a good Black Friday sale. It wasn’t really even a thing in Canada until like 10 years ago, and I’m pretty sure it’s just a gimmick to get us to think there’s actually good deals.”

And it looks like our neighbours south of the border are on the same page.

“Y’all Black Friday sale is not Black enough for me,” one TikTok user said. “What i’ma do with 10% off select items? I need the 100, 90 per cent off.”

Another Tik Tok user felt the same way.

“Black Friday has become an insult,” Anthony Koz said in a video that has garnered over 20 million views as of publication.

“Black Friday should make me walk into a store and go f**k i’ll wrestle somebody for this s**t. Now I don’t even want to go.”

Many people in the comments were quick to point out that some people will never understand the OG Black Friday.

“Old Black Friday was fun. The chaos was unmatched,” one user wrote.

“I remember videos of retail workers giving Black Friday speeches before they opened like it was a civil war,” another said.

Others even laughed about not being allowed to leave the house on Black Friday when they were young, citing safety concerns.

And if customers weren’t already upset by retailer antics they were thrown for a loop after one video, gaining nearly 40 million views as of publication, showed Black Friday sale stickers having the same price as the pre-sale stickers.

“I found one where the regular price was lower then black Friday deal,” one user wrote.

“I miss people throwing down over $50 TVs and getting $100 gift cards for being the first few in [line],” another chimed in.
