From 4-7 p.m., try quick-cook HelloFresh meals such as salmon with gremolata butter paired with broccoli, a high-fibre fattoush-style salad, and a 15-minute Moroccan-style chicken bowl.

This “Feel-Good Fridge” installation offers chef-designed meals whose ingredients are thoughtfully tailored to support your mood and energy.

A survey conducted by HelloFresh and The Harris Poll Canada reveals that 60 per cent of Canadians experience the winter blues.

Because of this, Torontonians experience the opposite of a “Feel-Good Fridge”: “Fridge Fatigue” – where cooking can feel overwhelming due to low energy, making decisions about what to eat, or an under-stocked or disorganized fridge.

Thirty-five per cent of Canadians say they skip or delay a meal because they cannot decide what to eat, or don’t feel like cooking.

The Harris Poll Canada survey finds that 66 per cent of Canadians say the solution to their winter woes is home-cooked meals.

Head recipe developer at HelloFresh, James Griesser, shares in a press release that “Food is one of the most practical ways to support yourself in winter because it’s something you can do today, even when motivation is low.”

Griesser adds that recipes are specifically built around foods like omega-3-rich fish, leafy greens, and lean proteins – all important ingredients to get you through ‘Blue Monday.’

“Using a meal kit can also take some of the thinking out of dinner, which makes it easier to follow through when you’re tired,” Griesser said.
