I Miss You

I MISS YOU 1315 Dundas West, 647-748-8813, imissyou.ca

Julie Yoo has every vintage base covered. The I Miss You owner’s original 63 Ossington boutique is a go-to spot for contemporary and designer resale items. Next door, Emporium is where you’ll find her more rustic, antique and Victorian picks. And the new Dundas and Dovercourt location is stocked with all the affordable clothing and accessories devoted mid-century and retro 80s and 90s fashion hunters are after.

“This store is a return to how the Ossington store used to be,” says Yoo. “The average price of things is probably $40.”

Silk blouses, printed dresses and groupings of accessories, like a black and gold vignette of crystal-covered Stuart Weitzman pumps and metallic evening bags, are neatly merchandised on chrome racks and smoked glass fixtures. Vintage scarves by the likes of YSL, Jean Patou and Givenchy fill glass display cases and hang framed like fashionable art on the boutique’s walls.

I Miss You picks: A geometric print Lanvin scarf stands out in I Miss You’s silky collection, $30 a pair of green suede Robert Cleregie shoes have very 90s caterpillar soles, $65 slip into a printed Pour Vous jumper, $195.

Look for: Spring buys. The smart vintage shopper knows the best time to buy selection-wise is in the off-season.

Hours: Wednesday to Sunday noon to 6 pm.
