If you’re looking to pop the question at a Raptors or Blue Jays game, prepare to spend between $500 and $600 to make the arrangements, according to a new report.
Online gambling company Betway analyzed the best Major League Baseball and National Basketball Association stadiums to propose at.
Betway looked at five different factors, including the cost to display a proposal message on the stadium scoreboard, the cost of two tickets, parking costs, average daily rates to rent a property in the city of each stadium, and the cost of a three-course meal for two at a mid-range restaurant.
Each team was ranked for each factor against each other MLB or NBA team and then given a score out of 100. The locations were then ranked from highest to lowest based on their total scores. All of the data was correct as of Sept. 27, Betway says.

Good news for Raps fans! Toronto’s Scotiabank Arena ranked in the top three for the best NBA stadiums to ask the big question. Coming in at the third spot out of 30 stadiums, it would cost roughly $411.60 USD (approx. $567 CAD) to propose during a Raptors game. In first place is the home of the Oklahoma City Thunder (Paycom Center), which would set you back by $323.77 USD (approx. $446 CAD), followed by $358.59 USD (approx. $494 CAD) to propose at the FedExForum where the Memphis Grizzlies play.
Betway says Paycom Center offers zero-cost scoreboard messages and is the cheapest team to visit for an overnight stay. The Raptors is the only other team that offers scoreboard messages for free, according to the report.
Meanwhile, the stadium with the lowest score, and highest price, was the home of the Golden State Warriors (Chase Center), which would cost $963.70 USD (approx. $1,327 CAD) to propose.
ROGERS CENTRE MAKES TOP 10 LIST OF BEST MLB STADIUMS TO PROPOSE
If you’re considering proposing during a Blue Jays game it will likely cost you a little more. The Rogers Centre ranked ninth out of the list of 30 MLB stadiums, with a proposal costing about $447 USD (approx. $615 CAD).
The Pittsburgh’s Pirates’ PNC Park topped the list as the most affordable stadium to propose, costing about $317 USD (approx. $436 CAD), followed by Comerica Park where the Detroit Tigers play at $357 USD (approx. $491 CAD) and the Great American Ball Park where the Cincinnati Reds play at $341 USD (approx. $469 CAD).
Betway says it costs $35 USD for a game-day proposal message at PNC Park. Meanwhile, the Reds have among the most affordable tickets available, where a couple can watch a game for less than $50 USD.
