Would you buy your wedding dress from Le Chateau?

You can now buy wedding gowns (and bridesmaid dresses, too) from the same place you shopped for semi–formal frocks and clubby tube tops as a teen.

The Canadian retailer has undergone quite the image transformation over the last few years. Gone is the fast fashion emphasis, and in are clothes geared toward a grown-up demographic of quality-conscious consumers.

Now Le Chateau launches The Wedding Boutique online and in select stores (Yorkdale, Eaton Centre, Sherway Gardens). From bridal gowns and shoes to pretty dresses for guests, the shop-inside-a-shop offers a variety of affordable wedding fashions.

Its almost unheard of for bridal gowns to range from $99 to $395, but why not? After all, its an item most people only wear once. Throw in the price of taking your dress to a good tailor and you still come out with a sweet deal.

You can also feel good about your purchase because, similar to Le Chateaus regular stock, over 50 per cent of The Wedding Boutiques wares are made in Canada.

Guys will be able to get in on the action soon, too: attire for grooms and best men is on its way.
