The Matrix reloaded: The album

The Matrix reloaded: The album (Maverick/Warner) Rating: NN Rating: NN

Following the formula from the first Matrix film soundtrack, The Matrix Reloaded: The Album is another collection of nu-metal, alternative hard rock, metal rap and decorative electronica. There are a few more unreleased songs this time, but it’s essentially the same album. Rob Zombie’s techno metal title track is kind of fun, and Deftones lead singer Chino Moreno’s side project Team Sleep contribute an inoffensive and mildly interesting piece of ambient rock. Ho hum. Disc two has the score, just in case you feel like listening to some absurdly theatrical orchestra pieces. It’ll probably sell millions.
