As Coldplay gets set to kick off a four-night run at Rogers Stadium, Live Nation says it has made several adjustments to the venue following backlash from attendees after its inaugural show last month.

The British pop-rock band will headline Toronto’s newest outdoor venue beginning on Monday, and wrapping up on July 12.

The band will be the second to headline at the temporary stadium, located at the former Downsview Airport lands, following K-pop boy band Stray Kids on June 29.

However, the show was met with criticism from fans online who cited hours-long wait times for water stations and washrooms.

Some fans even say it took them nearly two hours to exit the venue and board buses and trains due to large crowds, on top of that they say they experienced general confusion when attempting to find exits.

After what some fans described as chaos, the venue quickly responded to the concerns and said adjustments will be made to ensure better accessibility, safety, and comfort, that includes working closely with the TTC, Metrolinx, and city officials to address operational issues.

In a statement to Now Toronto, the venue says it has since made those adjustments which includes adding more signage, lighting, staff and water stations.

On top of that, the stadium is making exiting smoother by reconfiguring exit routes to disperse crowds to all three nearby subway stations, in an effort to help prevent overcrowding and long waits at Downsview Park Station, which is the closest station to the venue.

The TTC has also made several changes for the upcoming shows, including adding more staff inside Downsview Park Station and on platforms after shows, and adding staff at Wilson Station to assist inbound travellers.

In addition, the transit agency says it will be converting accessible shuttle buses to full size TTC buses to accommodate more people per trip.

The stadium is set to welcome several more acts this summer, including Chris Brown, Blackpink and Oasis.

The TTC and GO Transit will be offering free rides after each show this summer, with GO Transit reminding concert-goers that the last train departs Downsview Park Station at 11:55 p.m.
