
BTS is taking over Toronto this weekend with two sold-out shows at Rogers Stadium, but the concerts aren’t the only way fans can celebrate.
Ahead of the group’s performances on Saturday and Sunday, ARMY across the city are hosting parties, pop-ups and fan experiences where fans can meet one another, shop for BTS-inspired goods, take photos and get into the concert spirit.
The group is scheduled to perform at Rogers Stadium at 8 p.m. on both Saturday and Sunday.
If you’re looking for something to do before the shows, or just want to soak up the BTS energy even if you don’t have a concert ticket, here are some fan events happening around Toronto this weekend.
Bangtan Ball
When: Friday, Aug. 21, 9 p.m. to 1 a.m.
Where: TD Music Hall
Price: Sold out; waitlist available
Age: 19+
Fans can kick off BTS concert weekend with Bangtan Ball, a late-night pre-concert party happening Friday at TD Music Hall.
The event will feature BTS music, dancing and fan chants, with DJ Francotone on the decks. Fans are encouraged to bring their ARMY Bombs, and there is no dress code.
The event runs from 9 p.m. until 1 a.m., and government-issued ID is required for entry.
Tickets to the event have sold out, but fans can join the waitlist in case more spots become available.
BTS BORAHAE: The Concert Café & Experience
When: Aug. 20-24, 11 a.m. to 7 p.m.
Where: Avant Garde Gallery, 218 Merton St.
Price: Free entry
This free BTS-themed café and fan experience is running throughout the weekend, giving ARMY a place to hang out, meet other fans and pick up some concert goodies.
The experience includes BTS-inspired photo opportunities, a merchandise shopping zone, a $2 lucky draw and concert banner pickups. Fans who purchase a drink will also receive a random photocard and cupsleeve.
The event runs through Monday, so fans can stop by before or after the concerts.
One More Night: A BTS Concert Countdown Event
When: Saturday, Aug. 22
Where: Downsview Park, 70 Canuck Ave.
Price: Free with RSVP
For fans looking to get into the concert spirit before heading to Rogers Stadium, One More Night is bringing ARMY together for a daytime countdown event.
The event will feature BTS-inspired vendors, fan-made accessories and goods, photo opportunities, raffles and a fan-made photocard lucky draw machine.
It is also designed as a chance for fans attending the concert alone to meet other ARMY.
A free RSVP is required. Guests without a ticket can join a no-ticket line, although entry will depend on capacity.
The Purple Experience x LightUpK

Price: Free
Running throughout BTS concert week, The Purple Experience is giving ARMY another place to celebrate with BTS-inspired activities and photo opportunities.
The week-long experience includes BTS-themed freebies and a photocard exchange, with fans invited to stop by and take in the various BTS-inspired displays.
The hotel’s PROOF Bar is also offering a limited-time Borahae Bliss cocktail and Korean street food sharing platter.
