The results are in! Ontario’s top baby names of 2023 are here, and it seems parents are sticking to familiar trends.

On Wednesday, the province revealed the top baby names last year, which were Olivia and Noah. The name Olivia has been a top consecutive winner in the province for the last 15 years.

Meanwhile, the name Charlotte came in as the second-most popular name for girls.

When it comes to boys, the name Noah clinched the top spot as the most popular name for the fifth year in a row, followed by Liam in second place.

For new additions, the list has welcomed Mila in ninth place and Henry in tenth place for top boy names.

“Welcoming a new baby and choosing a name is one of life’s most meaningful milestones, and our government is dedicated to helping new parents focus on these special moments rather than paperwork,” Minister of Public and Business Service Delivery and Procurement Todd McCarthy said in a press release.
