In just a few days, Toronto will welcome Taylor Swift for her six-show run at the Rogers Centre, and many major road closures will take place as a result.

The City of Toronto recently announced road closures happening  across the city while Taylor Swift’s Era’s tour is underway in November, and several major roads will be affected.

“To mitigate the anticipated traffic impacts and help ensure residents and visitors can move safely and efficiently around Rogers Centre during the concert period, the following road closures will be in effect on concert dates,” the city wrote.

By 2 p.m., the following roads will be limited to local traffic only:

  • Bremner Boulevard between Spadina Avenue and Simcoe Street
  • Northbound lanes on Rees Street will be closed. Southbound lanes will remain open for two-way traffic including an accessible entry point.
  • Blue Jays Way between Spadina Avenue and south of Front Street
  • Navy Court Wharf, where those living in condos will have to access their homes through a police check point at the Spadina Avenue and Bremner Boulevard intersection.
  • Lake Shore Boulevard, will be reduced to two westbound lanes at the intersection with Rees Street for a drop-off/pick-up point.

By nighttime, more closures will be in effect as concertgoers make their way out of Rogers Centre following the show.

By 10 p.m., Front Street between Blue Jays Way and Simcoe Street, John Street south of Wellington Street, and Windsor Street south of Wellington Street, will be closed.

And starting at 11 p.m., eastbound and westbound Gardiner Expressway off-ramps to Spadina Avenue will be closed as Swifties are anticipated to continue to filter out of the concert venue.

The city anticipates that all roads and ramps will re-open by 1 a.m. following each concert, and say that it will debrief after each show to adjust closures as needed.
