Suspect wanted for attempted murder after man stabbed on TTC train

Toronto police have released images of a suspect wanted in an attempted murder investigation after a man was stabbed on a TTC subway train Thursday afternoon. 

Shortly before 12:30 p.m., police responded to reports of a stabbing in the area of Yonge St. and Eglinton Ave. W. 

The victim and suspect were travelling on a train toward Eglinton Subway Station when they both got into an argument, according to a news release

The suspect then stabbed the victim multiple times and fled the scene once the train stopped at the station. 

The victim was transported to hospital in life-threatening condition, police said. 

Videos of the incident have been surfacing online, showing the victim and suspect fighting while passengers run to the other end of the train to avoid the attack.

Police have released images of the suspect. He is described as 25-30 years old, standing at 5’10”, with a thin build, a shaved head and no facial hair. He was wearing a grey hooded sweater with “GAP” on the front, black pants, black shoes, and was carrying a green backpack.
