Tim Hortons has launched a new, limited edition donut in recognition of the Toronto Maple Leafs making it to the second round of the Stanley Cup Playoffs.
The coffee chain released the new pastry as the Maple Leafs prepare to take on the Florida Panthers in game two of the second round of the championship tonight.
The Leafs Nation Donut is available at nearly 300 Tims locations in and around Toronto starting today. The pastry is iced with white fondant and blue and white sprinkles, and filled with delicious Venetian cream.
“Our whole city is rallying behind the Maple Leafs so it’s incredibly exciting to be offering the limited-edition Leafs Nation Donut for fans to celebrate and cheer their team on with,” Chief Marketing Officer at Tim Hortons, Hope Bagozzi, said in a news release Thursday.
Tim Hortons will also be giving away 1,000 donuts to fans who are gathering in Maple Leaf Square to watch the game as they cheer them on tonight.
And that’s not all, fans can also enjoy free coffee and hot chocolate at the square as well.
The Leafs Nation donut is available at participating Tim Hortons in the city while supplies last.
The Leafs will go against the Panthers at Scotiabank Arena at 7 p.m.
