Reeses Peanut Butter Cup

Plus, we’re sharing the recipe for Easy Peanut Butter Temptations. But be warned, these cookies won’t last long.

If there’s one thing we can all agree on, it’s that chocolate and peanut butter were made for each other. The combination of the two mouthwatering ingredients is pure genius, and for that we have Reese’s to thank. While the delicious treat is consumed 365 days per year by folks all around the globe, it definitely deserves a celebratory day of its very own.

The Reese’s brand has declared May 18 “I love Reese’s Day” worldwide, honouring the hardworking Hershey makers behind the iconic cups. The special day also provides people with an excuse to overindulge in all their favourite Reese’s sweets – we’ll take four bags of the Peanut Butter Cups Minis, please.

May 18 was carefully selected as the date for the holiday because it’s appropriately sandwiched between National Peanut Butter Lover’s Day in March and National Chocolate Day in July.

This year, the team at Reese’s wants to see exactly how you eat your Peanut Butter Cups. Although there’s no right or wrong way of eating a Reese’s Cup, there’s arguably a “best” way. When treating yourself to a sweet, sweet chocolate coma on May 18, share a photo or video of how you eat your Reese’s on Instagram. Be sure to tag @reesescanada and use the hashtag #ILoveReesesDay.

But the best consumption method is a heated topic of debate amongst the brand’s loyal fans. However, there’s one fact that’s undebatable: the love of Reese’s Cups is a love like no other. And on May 18, we want you to see your quirky eating techniques on social media – not that you needed another reason to enjoy the undeniable deliciousness of Reese’s.

Let’s face it – there’s an endless amount of ways that one can eat a Reese’s Cup. Whether you bravely tackle the whole thing in one bite, stack a couple on top of each other or strategically eat the chocolate before the peanut butter, you are winning.

Some people like to dunk them in milk while others prefer to bake their Reese’s into cookies or bars. But as long as the Reese’s Cup finds its way to your stomach, you’re doing it right.

If the Reese’s team thinks that you’ve nailed it, there’s a chance you’ll be featured on one of their social channels.
