
From Air Canada to WestJet, new flights have been popping up for residents to enjoy from both Toronto Pearson International Airport and Billy Bishop Toronto City Airport.
Flair Airlines
The budget carrier, Flair Airlines, will be expanding its Caribbean footprint by offering a new, non-stop flight route to Montego Bay, Jamaica.
The route began in December 2025 and takes off from Pearson airport almost every day.
This expansion follows Flair Airlines recent decision to begin flying to Mexico City back in October 2025. Since then, the flight leaves Pearson airport every Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday.
Air Canada
Air Canada has many alterations and new flight routes coming in 2026.
The airline is extending its schedule to Brazil, Peru and Chile, with earlier starts and more frequencies on services to Rio and Lima.
Air Canada will also be adding Quito, Ecuador to its roster, as it starts to fly there weekly beginning Dec. 6.
Additionally, Copenhagen and Manchester, two destinations that were previously seasonal exclusives, will now be seeing year-round service with help from the addition of a new fleet aircraft, the Airbus A321XLR. This is the first narrow-body aircraft with Air Canada and it offers lie-flat style seats. This fleet is possible with the new Airbus A321 XLR base at Pearson airport.
The year-round schedule begins Oct. 26 and will be flying out of the airport every Monday, Wednesday, Friday and Sunday for Manchester and every Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday for Copenhagen.
Air Canada has also added some routes to the United States out of Billy Bishop airport.
The airline will be seeing daily service to New York, Boston, Washington and Chicago.
Flights from Billy Bishop to New York’s LaGuardia airport begin March 29, and Boston Logan airport begin July 1. Flights to both Chicago O’Hare and Washington Dulles airports start on June 1.
Air Transat
Air Transat will soon have new flights flying from Pearson directly to Tirana, Albania, Accra, Ghana, Rio de Janiero, Brazil, Georgetown, Guyana and Istanbul, Turkey.
Most flights begin in June and December 2026, with flights to Rio having already begun on Wednesday.
Frequency to Berlin, Germany and Lima, Peru will also increase, with flights departing three times a week.
Porter
Porter is also adding multiple flights to Pearson, as well as one new route out of Billy Bishop.
Anyone looking for a getaway to Nashville, Tennessee can soon do so, once Porter begins flying there as of May 11.
At Pearson, Porter will also be adding routes to Boston, Massachusetts and Quebec City. The flight to Quebec begins on May 12, while the U.S. flight starts two days later.
Recently, Porter began flying to Liberia, Costa Rica and Grand Cayman, Cayman Islands in December 2025.
WestJet
WestJet has recently released its latest flights set to take off this summer.
The airline plans to add seasonal flights for Cardiff, Wales, and Glasgow, Scotland. These flights begin May 22, and May 15.
Additionally, the airline hopes to fly to both Medellín, Colombia and Ponta Delgada on São Miguel Island in Portugal, but are awaiting government approval for these flights.
If all goes to plan, it will take flight to Colombia starting April 28, and Portugal on June 12.
WestJet will also fly to Puerto Plata, Dominican Republic once a week for the duration of the summer in collaboration with Sunwing.
The airline also launched flights to Havana, Cuba and Samaná, Dominican Republic in December 2025.
