The wait is almost over for Toronto fans eager to see Akon and Ne-Yo perform live, and if you haven’t secured tickets yet, your options are quickly running out.

The R&B stars are set to take over the RBC Amphitheatre for two nights on July 31 and Aug. 1 as part of their Nights Like This Tour, with both shows now nearly sold out.

As of publication, standard tickets for the July 31 performance in the lawn, 400, 300 and 200-level sections have completely sold out, leaving only limited resale tickets available.

In the 100-level sections closest to the stage, only a handful of standard tickets remain.

Ticket availability is similarly scarce for the Aug. 1 show.

As of publication, the entire lawn and 400-level sections are unavailable on Ticketmaster, including resale listings.

Only a limited number of seats remain in the 200-level and 100-level sections.

With demand remaining high, fans hoping to attend may need to act quickly or turn to verified resale listings before both concerts sell out completely.

The Toronto performances mark the duo’s second stop in the Greater Toronto and Hamilton Area (GTHA) after they performed at Hamilton’s TD Coliseum in June.

Both artists helped define the sound of R&B and hip hop throughout the 2000s and early 2010s, with chart-topping hits that continue to resonate with longtime fans.

Ne-Yo is known for songs including “So Sick,” “Miss Independent” and “Closer,” while Akon rose to international fame with hits such as “Lonely,” “Smack That” and “Right Now (Na Na Na).”

Their joint tour has drawn fans looking to relive an era of early-2000s and 2010s music, combining two of the decade’s most recognizable voices on the same stage.

Concertgoers can expect an evening packed with hit songs, nostalgic moments and crowd favourites as the pair brings their extensive catalogues to Toronto for back-to-back performances.

The co-headlining tour taps into the ongoing popularity of nostalgia concerts, bringing together two artists whose hits dominated radio, clubs and playlists throughout the 2000s and early 2010s.
