Canada’s biggest night in music is back: 2025 JUNO Awards happening today

Canadian music fans, get ready! The 54th JUNO Awards are happening today in Vancouver, B.C. with some amazing performances by some of Canada’s most beloved artists. 

Canadian singer-songwriter and 15-time JUNOS winner Michael Bublé makes a comeback as the event’s host after presenting it last in 2018. 

Joining the pop icon on stage for some electrifying performances in their home province will be bbno$, Peach Pit, Chani Nattan, Inderpal Moga and Jazzy B with GMINXR. 

Legendary pop-punk band Sum 41 will make a historic appearance at tonight’s ceremony marking their last-ever performance and Canadian Music Hall of Fame induction. 

Fans will see unforgettable performances by some of Canada’s biggest names such as Aqyila, Josh Ross, Nemahsis, Snotty Nose Rez Kids, Tia Wood, and discover new music icons with first-time acts by Elisapie, Jonita Gandhi, Maestro Fresh Wes and Roxane Bruneau.

Attendees will also witness the biggest JUNOS artist in history, Anne Murray, receiving the Lifetime Achievement Award. The author of Gold-record “Snowbird” has won a total of 26 JUNO awards and sold 55 million copies worldwide of her pop, country and adult contemporary hits.

The live ceremony will be airing on CBC and CBC Gem tonight at the Rogers Arena at 8 p.m. (EST).  

MEET SOME OF THE WINNERS

The JUNO Awards Gala took place on Saturday, where some of the long-awaited winners were already revealed. 

Calgary pop singer-songwriter Tate McRae, who received impressive five nominations this year, has already collected four awards at the gala, including Single of the Year for “exes,” Artist of the Year, and Album and Pop Album of the Year for “Think Later” (2023). 

Another highly-anticipated prize, The Rap Single of the Year award, went to five-time JUNOS winner, Jessie Reyez for her hit “SHUT UP.”

Rock Album of the Year went to first-time winner NOBRO, who energetically took the stage to thank their fans and parents for supporting their musical aspirations.

Aqyila, who is coming back to the JUNOS stage again on Sunday for a performance, won for her hit “Bloom” in the Contemporary R&B Recording of the Year category.

Some other notable categories like TikTok Juno Fan Choice, Breakthrough Artist or Group, and Group of the Year are still to be announced at the ceremony on Sunday.
