Heads up, Toronto art lovers! Canada’s largest and oldest international art fair is returning to the city, and is bringing more than 100 top galleries from around the world that you simply have to check out.

Art Toronto returns for its 26th edition, offering collectors and visitors a rich cultural experience that brings together exceptional works of art and thoughtfully curated programs, all in one place. As Canada’s leading international art fair, it showcases the best of contemporary and modern art from across the country and around the world, uniting established and emerging galleries under one roof.

Whether you are an art collector, art lover, or just looking for something fun and cultural to do in the city this fall, you cannot miss the chance to experience Art Toronto at the Metro Toronto Convention Centre from Oct. 23–26.

The event is an opportunity to check out art from the top national and international galleries, including from across Canada, London, Mexico City, Sydney, and much more. Attendees will also have the chance to engage in stage talks, presented by Art Toronto, and fair tours led by art experts, collectors and curators.

U.K.-based award-winning curator and writer Dr. Zoe Whitley will curate this year’s Focus Exhibition, “Fly Birds Fly” which celebrates the wisdom passed down through generations, showing how hope, imagination, and shared stories can inspire us to reimagine the future.

This year, Art Toronto also announced its newest section, Arte Sur, which celebrates artistic excellence from Central and South America.

Curated by distinguished Mexican curator and gallerist Karen Huber, Arte Sur will feature 11 major galleries from the region—including from Chile, Perú, Costa Rica, and Argentina, as well as Latin artist showcases by New York and Mexico City galleries—which will be displayed in an exclusive section within the fair.

Another surprise to look forward to this year is Art Toronto’s new program, Generations. This new program offers a space for galleries to feature multi-generational artists, each bringing their unique background and world views into their remarkable art.

Besides browsing art from internationally renowned galleries, the event also offers the chance to explore something new. Its Discover section, co-presented by Art Toronto and RBC, is back in 2025, with a chance for emerging and reemerging artists to showcase their work and build relationships in the art community.

This year, eight galleries will bring pieces by their most remarkable emerging talent, including Toronto’s Black Artists’ Networks In Dialogue (BAND) Gallery, Franz Kaka, and United Contemporary

Those eager to get an early look at this year’s remarkable art showcase won’t be disappointed. The Opening Night party on October 23 offers guests and collectors the chance to celebrate the start of the fair while supporting a vital cultural institution.

Proceeds from Opening Night will once again benefit the McMichael Canadian Art Collection, Canada’s largest publicly funded gallery dedicated to Canadian and Indigenous art. In 2024, funds raised through the event helped McMichael maintain essential programs and acquire seven new works for its permanent collection.

Those who choose to participate in the Opening Night will also receive exclusive early access to the exhibition, giving collectors the opportunity to purchase their favourite works before the fair opens to the public, all while enjoying complimentary drinks and canapés, and connecting with gallerists, artists, and fellow collectors.

Art Toronto is the place to see, be seen, and buy art, where the city’s leading collectors, curators, and cultural tastemakers come together to celebrate creativity and discover exceptional art works.

Tickets are available for single entry, day pass and a full weekend pass, going from $20 to $139. Meanwhile, opening night tickets, which include a weekend pass to the fair, range from $320 to $410. To check out more information about the fair or purchase tickets, click here
